Alison Moyet and Vince Clarke have decided that it's high time to dust off the Yazoo and hit the road. For the first time in over 25 years they'll get back to gether as the entity once known as Yazoo and 'reconnect' with each other. They're calling the set of dates Reconnected.
They performed only 24 concerts back in the day, but now that they're together again they'll add five more to that list, playing shows in London, Manchaester, Glasgow, Brighton and Wolverhampton. No word on any international dates yet.
”Playing this material live is not about revision for me, it is about finishing something we started – writing, recording, performing. Three parts of a whole. A salmon cycle. It’s like going home,” said Alison when speaking about the shows.
They'll also release a 4 disc box set titled In Your Room, featuring remastered and 5.1 mixes of the albums Upstairs At Eric's and You And Me Both; there will also include b-sides and remixes and a DVD with new interviews with Vince Clarke and Alison Moyet plus videos for Don't Go, The Other Side Of Love, Nobody's Diary, Situation and Only You.
The group started in 1981 when Clarke left Depeche Mode. They released.
