Experimental music label Thrill Jockey is on a roll this week signing the band Thank You (after rounding up the Boredoms as well) for the release of an upcoming album. There's no word on an album title yet, and the release date is tentativley scheduled for April. Check out a sample of what's to come at the link below.
The new album was recorded and engineered by J. Robbins (Yeasayer, Mary Timony, Jets to Brazil) and mixed by Chris Coady (Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Celebration, TV on the Radio) in New York. Thrill Jockey is calling Thank You an "athletic rythym/action unit" that plays live shows that includes adjectives like union, dervishes, and chaos; not to mention joyful and overwhelemed.
