Ladytron 4.0 - New Concept,
New Tour

By: Spacelab Research Staff

Ladytron have emerged from their Paris-based recording session with producer Vicarious Bliss of Ed Banger Records, to announce the oncoming future of Ladytron: they'll release their new album on June 3rd via Nettwerk, Ladytron's first album for their newly signed agreement.

Titled Velocifero, the new album will be their first since 2005's The Witching Hour. It's the fourth studio album from Ladytron.

A statement on the Ladytron web site read "The album, was recorded in Studio de la grande armee, Paris ,with additional collaboration and co-production with Alessandro Cortini (Modwheelmood, NIN) and Vicarious Bliss (Ed Banger recs). It was completed and mixed in Los Angeles with Michael Patterson (Beck, P.Diddy)."

"Ladytron is one of the coolest, most vital and cutting edge bands around right now. Each of their albums is more seductive than the last, and their live performance is electrifying, said Mark Jowett of Nettwerk.

"We came straight from our final shows in the US to the studio in Paris to complete what we have been working on for the last year or so," said Ladytron's Daniel Hunt.

There's also a Ladytron tour in the works for Europe, and then it's off to the U.S. for many stops, incuding the Bonnaroo Festival. They'll start at the end of April, hitting spots like Berlin, Amsterdam, and London.
