The always interesting story of Deerhoof adds a new chapter with the recent addition of new member Ed Rodriguez, as reported by Pitchfork on Friday.

Ed will be a permanent member of the band as they plot their future and play gigs from now through, well, forever. He comes from experience in bands like the Flying Luttenbachers and XBXRX.

It's been a while since Chris Cohen quit the band to pursue his band the Curtains. He played through the album Friend Opportunity.
