The Mars Volta have announced some of the dates for their Spring 2008 tour. In a now patented industry method of doling out information in chunks (so as to keep the online buzz perpetuating) the band has promised that more dates to come.
The first set dates are for April, with shows in the southeast and Midwest.
The tour is in support of The Bedlam In Goliath, released on January 28th on Universal.
The band almost cancelled the release date because of a Ouija board.Omar Rodriguez-Lopez and Cedric Bixler-Zavala claim that a Ouija board they bought in Jerusalem brought with it a curse, and spoke to Billboard about studio floods, destroyed equipment, lost digital recordings, and locust plagues inside the studio. OK, I made up that last part about locusts, but you get the idea!
