Fans of Stereolab can rejoice that someone has picked up the mantle of their sound as a starting point and taken it off in its own direction. Worldly and cosmopolitan, Monocle evoke the kind of sounds that you would imagine pouring out of any major city in the world, from Paris to New York.

The keyboards have a lot of life to them even though the band says that they're 'synthesizers that sound like they're dying.' Fueled by bossa nova rythyms as much as a spacey aesthetic, Monocle keep their feet firmly planted on the ground while reaching for the stars.
