In what's sure to be a future of non-mainstream news sources making groundbreaking news, video blogger Sarah Meyers has told the world that Google is launching a live video project this year through YouTube.

She caught up with YouTube founder Steve Chen at a YouTube party in NYC, and he told her that 2008 will be the year of live video on YouTube.

"We'll do it this year. Live video is something we've always wanted to do but haven't had the resources to do it correctly, but now with Google we hope to launch something this year," Chen told Sarah. Check out the video at her site.
