Secretly Canadian has declared war on the band The War On Drugs. Inevitably, they lost, so now they have to put out their new album and host a free download for the band (of course that's entirely a joke. Nuance, people, nuance).
Citing influences as diverse as Roy Orbison and Brian Eno, The War On Drugs create the kind of folk-influenced sounds you'd imagine emenating from an AM radio decades ago, but with a presence that sounds relevant today.
There's no release date yet, but Secretly Canadian will release a full length album later this year. In the meantime, check out the free album and declare a war on paid downloads:
