Carl Newman of the New Pornographers has been talking. He's been telling of a new New Pornographers album, for 2009, and a solo album that would ideally come out this Fall. He says that the sounds of both projects might have some crossover.

""In a lot of ways they're similar, but in a lot of obvious ways, they're not similar. The Pornographers have all of these different people in the band and different voices, which makes a big difference. On my own records, I'm kind of left to my own devices. That can be both good and bad," he said when speaking to Billboard.
