No Age will be releasing their Sub Pop debut on May 6th. Titled Nouns, it features their pateneted punk sound with an almost pop-like feel alongside static-y guitars and rythyms you can jump around the house to. They've released a sample of the new album with the new single Eraser (see download link below). If this can't break you out of Winter hibernation than you just ain't trying.
"No Age is a band. Bands should be fun and exciting and they should push all the buttons at the same time. They should make you feel like you are going to explode and make you utterly confused and inspired at the same time,” says drummer and vocalist Dean Spunt.
Sub Pop throws out descriptions and comparisons like Daydream-era Sonic Youth and My Bloody Valentine and experimental noise. It's all of that and more.
The band worked with a variety of people to get the album done, jet-setting from Infrasonic Sound in Los Angeles with Pete Lyman to Southern Studios in London to work with Harvey Birrell.
You can jump around in the crowd when they go on tour this Spring ... many European dates and a stop at the Pitchfork Music Festival.
