All Tomorrow's Parties is planning a new incarnation of its festival in upstate New York in September. They once again have tapped a fine choice to curate the festival: My Bloody Valentine. This is all acording to a report in Billboard.
"The reunited My Bloody Valentine will headline and curate a new upstate New York branch of the All Tomorrow's Parties festival on Sept. 20-21, Billboard has learned."
Today's My Bloody Valentine fun fact is ... they haven't played in the U.S. since the summer of 1992.
With that segue,The Daily Swarm has tagged on to that information with the notion that My Bloody Valentine will play a small string of shows around the same time, saying "Frank Riley, the group’s long time booking agent who started working with My Bloody Valentine more than two decades ago, confirms that the band will play shows in 6–8 U.S. cities."
One difference is that TDS claims that it's Kevin Shields that will curate the ATP festival, not the whole band.
Bloody bloody bloody!
And finally, as reported by Pitchfork, the lineup for the MBV ATP:
My Bloody Valentine
Built to Spill performing Perfect From Now On
Meat Puppets performing Meat Puppets II
Thurston Moore performing Psychic Hearts
Tortoise performing Millions Now Living Will Never Die
