The Cure To Release Monthly Singles In the Run Up to Their Album Release

The Cure have said that they intend to release a single for each of the months leading to their album release in September. They'll start with the first single on May 13th, and release a total of 4 singles before the album comes out on September 13th.

 

The Only One will be the first single, with the b-side NY Trip. The second single Freakshow comes out on June 13th with the b-side All Kinds Of Stuff. The information around the other singles have not been announced yet.

 

The new album (still without a title) will come out on Suretone/Geffen, has gone through a series of delays and setbacks this year and in 2007. You can listen to the song The Only One from the album at the Cure web site.

 

In the meantime, they'll be out swimming around the U.S. in May and June on tour:
