New Order Seek To Define New World Order With New DVD

By: Spacelab Research Staff

New Order will seek to define a new world order when they release their live DVD this June, titled Live In Glasgow. It's a double album ... the first disc is a complete live show, the second disc is all of the things that you love about larger releases: harder to find material. It will contain pieces from live performances over the band's career, heavily rooted in shows from the eighties.

The live in Glasgow performance was recorded at Carling Academy in October 2006, where the band played a two night stand. You'll get classic New Order standouts like Blue monday and Bizarre Love Triangle alongside other tracks. Of course there's the obligiatory Joy Division inclusions like Love Will Tear Us Apart and Senses.

The second disc includes spots from performance Rome in 1982, Rotterdam and Toronto in 1985, Glastonbury in 1981, Shoreline in 1989, and more. The operative words on this disce are "never-seen-before footage."

The disc will arrive in the heady 5.1 Surround Sound format. It'll be just like being in the audience! It will be released on June 24 from Warner/Rhino.
