The Hold Steady have laid out their plans for their first single from the forthcoming Stay Positive album due out later this Summer. The single will be the track Sequestered in Memphis, and will be released on May 20th on iTunes. The full album is due out on July 15th.

They've also ponied up a bunch of new tour dates, just so everyone can see what the band sounds like when they explode onto stage and play the songs outside of a studio. Novel concept, right? The new dates are U.S. shows this Summer, to fill out their pre-existing set of shows.
