The 2008 Sasquatch! Festival gets underway this weekend in the lush Gorge in Washington state ... the festival has many highlights including the premiere of both Flaming Lips new film/video offerings: Christmas on Mars (finally!) and U.F.O's At The Zoo.
Headlining bands include R.E.M., the Cure, Flaming Lips, Death Cab For Cutie, Modest Mouse and M.I.A.
This year the festival moved from a two day to to a three day festival, allowing for more music and comdey acts.
There's also a Sasquatch! podcast! Working with KEXP in Seattle, Sasquatch! organizers have made a podcast with information on the festival and music from the bands that are playing.
