Moby, Girl Talk, Wink, Richie Hawtin, Carl Craig, Peanut Butter Wolf, Kevin Saunderson, and a whole lot more will be part of this year's 2008 Detroit Electronic Music Festival, a.k.a Movement 08. It's happening over Memorial Day weekend in an outdoor setting in Hart Plaza in downtown Detroit.
Also known in its previous incarnations as Fuse-in Detroit: Electronic-Soul Movement and Movement, the gathering is still considered to be one true to its roots and the history of electronic music in Detroit, widely considered to be the the birthplace of techno. This year's lineup has a diverse roster of established acts alongside up-and-coming artists.
There's five different stages: the vitaminwater Stage, the Beatport Stage, the Real Detroit Stage the Pioneer Pro DJ Stage and the Red Bull Stage. They'll rotate acts and DJs in and and out from noon to midnight. Weekend passes and VIP tickets are still available.
