Sigur Rós Announce New Shows

By: Spacelab Research Staff

Sigur Rós have been busy updating their tour schedule, adding a show with Björk in Reykjavík on June 28th, and a gig at New York's MOMA. No word on whether nudity will be involved for the MOMA show (given their recent video, and that it's all about the art), but just imagine a tribal throwdown in the MOMA gallery inspired by the video? Flashmobs, anyone? (oops, sorry about the double entendre).

The MOMA gig is part of Icelandic / Danish artist ólafur eliasson's Take Your Time exhibition, part of the MOMA Poprally series.

And if you haven't experienced it yet, by all means, go and watch the the new Sigur Rós video for Gobbledigook. It's that tribal hedonism thing mentioned earlier that's sweeping the interweb right now. They're also offering it as a free download as an MP3 and video.
