Sub Pop Records are bringing back the Sub Pop Singles Club, just in time for their SP20 hootenanny. Announced late last week, the new incarnation will be callled The Sub Pop Singles Club 3.0 and will kick off on August 15th.
Membership will be limited to 1500, and will consist of a monthly delivery of a 7" vinyl single of many bands you know and love, some not on the Sub Pop or Hardly Art roster. Names so far include Om, Unnatural Helpers, Tyvek, Black Mountain, Black Lips, Arthur & Yu, Mika Miko, Blues Control and Notwist. There's also acts that they're "not yet at liberty to divulge."
The Sub Pop Singles Club 3.0 will last for one year.
Sub Pop has also added Obits and the Constantines to the SP20 line up, which is a giant bash in the form of a two-day festival at Marymoor Park on July 12 & 13.
