Screaming out of the urban wilderness comes These Are Powers, the trio from Brooklyn ans Chicago that have recently signed to the experimental Dead Oceans label. Fragmented, precise, scattered but pointed. And sharp and spiky. Their sound is an onslaught to the senses in the best way. Experience the media goods below to see what I'm talking about.

These Are Powers will release a new full-length album on Dead Oceans in early 2009, but look for the band to tour on both sides of the Atlantic this Fall.

Dead Oceans will also re-release of Taro Tarot and Terrific Seasons on October 7th.
