After playing 300 shows with acts like Page France, Georgie James and Califone, These United States are finally releasing their second album of 2008, titled Crimes. It will be released on United Interests on October 7th. It was recorded in six short days at Shangri-La Studios.
Combine Americana and psych-folk, and wrap it up with an underbelly of the dark side of human consciousness, and you have These United States.
So what does a band which made a name for themselves by touring America do in support of their new album? Tour the United States, of course. They'll be moving around the country for most of August and the first week in September.
