Out with the old, in with the new! Glastonbury 2008 is hardly over with, and organizer Michael Eavis is already talking about tickets for 2009. They've announced a new booking scheme that lets people buy up to six tickets for next year's festival. Tickets will go on sale on October 5th, 2008.
”We have come up with a scheme that will allow people a much longer period to plan and pay for their tickets, while still continuing the battle against ticket touting," said Michael Eavis.
“By paying as little as £50 up front this year, Festival-goers from all over the world will be able to guarantee a ticket for next year’s event. At the same time the very successful registration scheme will ensure that tickets will only go to those named individuals who have reserved them in advance.”
Get yourself a full weekend ticket for £175 (plus a booking fee of £5), or go for a day at £50 per ticket. Of course you'll have to pay the balance on February 1st, 2009.
