Rodrigo y Gabriela Live In Japan

They're originally from Mexico, moved to Ireland, and are releasing a live compilation CD/DVD thing called Live In Japan. How much more international can you get?

Rodrigo y Gabriela are documenting a trip to Japan earlier this year with the release of a live album and companion DVD of a show at the Duo Club in Tokyo. It includes on new song from the duo: OK Tokyo alongside old favorites like their cover version of Metallica's Orion (a must hear, it's on their MySpace) and Led Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven. Listen to how fast and well these guys play guitar and you'll wonder what you've been doing with your time all of these days while they've been practicing.

The album will include 14 tracks, the DVD has five songs in 5:1 surround sound. It'll sound just like your inside of the acoustic guitar.

They're currently writing their next set of songs in Ixtapa, Mexico.

Live In Japan comes out on October 28th in the U.S. via ATO Records, October 17th in Ireland via Rubyworks, and October 20th in the U.K. via Rubyworks (again).
