No sooner did they miss out on the Mercury Music Prize did Radiohead announce that they're writing material for a new album. Who needs yesterday when you've got tomorrow? They'll take a break from shows before hitting Japan to wrap up their show schedule. The band has a week's worth of dates in Japan in October, including stops in Osaka and Tokyo.
"“We’ve finished the main bulk of it and we’re off to Japan in a couple of weeks to finish it off," Colin Greenwood told the BBC's 6Music about the tour on September 11th.
"We’re still talking about doing some stuff and we’re really excited about it. First we came off tour to do some writing and we wanted to just carry on doing it because it was so brilliant," Ed O'Brien went on to say.
No word on when they hope to package anything up, bit if In Rainbows is any guide, it could be years before a release happens. Then again, maybe they'll spring something on us in surprise when nodobdy's expecting it?
