The Coathangers Hang Their Hat on Suicide Squeeze Records

Cute punk girls from Atlanta, The Coathangers, have just signed on to Seattle-based Suicide Squeeze Records. They'll release a full length album in the Spring of 2009.

Singer/guitarist Julia Kugel is like an american punk version of Lily Allen, quick-witted and talkative. The girls overall seem ready to take on the world. If you go through all of their videos, they're always laughing and acting like everything is a big joke, or that there's nothing out there that's serious. In a way, that's kind of their charm, they seem to be having a blast rolling through an experience that seems to elevate their national status again and again.
