Adult. Bring Halloween Early with Their Horror Film

By: Spacelab Research Staff

You can get your Halloween on early with a new film by Adult.. They'll run two screenings this week of their Adult. film (get it?) in New York at the Anthology Film Archives on October 16th. The film, which was made by the band, features a live film score perfomance.

The film is called Decampment, and it was made in their home state of Michigan. It's the story of a woman who follows a path from her normal life to one of deceit, which sounds very much like Adult.. They're calling it midwestern horror, perhaps the birth of a new genre?

Adult. is a Detroit-based band consisting of Adam Lee Miller and Nicola Kuperus, a married couple. They make quirky, spooky and goth-twinged music, most recently with the release of 2007's Why Bother?, which they call "uneasy listening."

This all goes in synch with the release of a limited 7" series called the Decampment Trilogy. It features photography from Nicola and will be limited to 100 copies. They're going fast.
