Dent May & His Magnificent Ukulele and the Way Back Machine

Copping from Jens Lekman and a vintage outlook on the world, Dent May might be a musical genius posing as a gadfly about town posing as a musical genius. He's a NYU Film School dropout who found his home in the music of Serge Gainsbourg and Lee Hazlewood. And the the people over at Paw Tracks have spotted him and signed him on to their label-collective.

They'll release his debut album, The Good Feeling Music of Dent May & His Magnificent Ukelele on February 3rd of 2009. In the meantime, you can check him out at the CMJ Marathon or watch the video at the link below. He's more Hef than Hugh Hefner.
