All Tomorrow's Parties Fans Strike Back Opens Voting, Adds The Jesus Lizard, The Cave Singers

By: Spacelab Research Staff

Are you suffering from post-election withdrawal? Do you have secret urges to canvas, connect and vote? Good news ... All Tomorrow's Parties The Fans Strike Back festival has opened the voting on their 2009 show.

Anyone who has bought a ticket gets to vote, with voting lasting five weeks. Choose wisely, young Skywalker, and remember (as ATP says) "We are unable to raise the dead."

An ongoing list of the bands will be shown in real time at www.atpfestival.com, and then ATP organizers will start to ask bands from the list about playing. Eventually, available bands that the festival can work with will make their way to the festival, to be matched in the line up by another group of acts picked by ATP organizers.

In the first of unbelievable news that will be delivered by the All Tomorrow's Parties people over the next six months, comes the word that the Jesus Lizard, in its pristine original line up, will be at ATP's The Fans Strike Back in 2009.

David Yow, Duane Denison, David Wm. Sims and Mac McNeilly will use ATP as the starting date of a small set of shows that they'll play in the new year, ending with a homecoming show in Chicago in November 2009.

Other groups confirmed so far include Devo, Spiritualized, and Antipop Consortium. Check out the festival overview for the current line up.
