PJ Harvey ... John Parish ... and Their Torrid Love Affair

By: Spacelab Research Staff

For the love of music. That's what the new PJ Harvey / John Parish collaboration is all about. John Parish has worked with her before, co-producing To Bring You My Love and White Chalk.

Next year, the two will release A Woman A Man Walked By, the result of a set of studio sessions that included Eric Drew Feldman, Carla Azar from Autolux and Giovanni Ferrario. The album was recorded in by Ali Chant in Bristol at Toybox studios, and in Dorset. It was co-produced by PJ Harvey and John Parish and mixed by Flood.

A Woman A Man Walked By will be released by Island Records on March 30th, 2009. The two are planning to play some live shows after the album is released.

Miss Polly Jean Harvey also recently celebrated the 15th anniversary of her landmark abum Dry, telling Spinner "It was an extremely exciting time for me. I never even dreamed that I would have the chance to make a record, let alone that it would be so anticipated and received so well. It was just an astonishing time and quite wonderful. I did feel a little like the rabbit in the headlights -- I wasn't quite sure what was happening. But I was willing to go along with it."
