I.U.D. Return With Fascinating Creepiness on The Proper Sex

By: Spacelab Research Staff

In what is sure to be a complicated mess of beats and sounds with all of the brutal abrasiveness of scraping your face on the pavement, I.U.D. will release their new album The Proper Sex on March 24th.

Here's how their label, The Social Registry, described it in a new release: "The Proper Sex is a downright brutal industrial clusterfuck that’s sure to fog the glasses of experimental music nerds and provide the catalyst for many a record store argument. Put The Boredoms, Einstürzende Neubauten, Meat Beat Manifesto, Tribe 8, Front 242 and some black metal tropes in a blender and then serve chilled at a party hosted by hyper-feminist vampires and you’re getting close to the sound on this one."

Their music is for the art-inclined, and people who don't need concrete structure to grab on to. If you like abstract projects, this one's for you.

The album was recorded by Matt Boyton (former chief engineer of the Magic Shop) at Vacation Island Studios in Brooklyn.

They'll release an advance single of the album's first song Daddy as a 7" with a remix by Aaron Warren of Black Dice as the b side.

I.U.D. - The Proper Sex Track List
1.DADDY (4.29)
2. GLO BALLS (3.36)
3. MONK HUMMER (7.56)
4. 911 (2.26)
