Julie Doiron will release a new album titled I Can Wonder What You Did With Your Day in March on Jagjaguwar Records. It will be the follow up to her 2008 release Lonliest In the Morning. She recorded the album in her home studio outside of Toronto, and collaborated with her Eric's Trip partner in crime Rick White.
The album will feature Julie's patented direct narrative style, a telling of where she's at in life at the moment that each song was written. This time around, she swears she's in a happy place.
"I don't know how to do anything else. I don't know how to write any other way. I've wanted to... I've tried! Because sometimes I feel like maybe I shouldn't be so direct, but I don't know how," said Julie when talking about her style.
"I keep saying that it's a change in a positive direction. I've started to love life most of the time, and I'm happy, and I'm having a great time raising my kids."
Jagjaguwar will release the album on March 10th.
