Barsuk Signs The Wooden Birds

American Analog Set's Andrew Kenny has a new project titled The Wooden Birds, and has just  landed a deal with the Seattle-based Barsuk Records to release a new album titled Magnolia this spring.

Barsuk is describing the release this way: "Fans of AmAnSet will recognize Kenny's voice and songwriting immediately, but the arrangements on Magnolia are more vocal and percussion-heavy than anything he's done before."

Lots of talent in this band, with members that include David Gordon Green (Ola Podrida), Michael Bell (Lymbyc Systym), film score composer David Wingo, Chris Michaels, and Leslie Sisson.

Plans for the year include a tour with a stop at SXSW in March.
