What do you do in 2009 if you'rer an indie rock spaces
band of yore, looking to put out some new music? A current trend is to sign with a small-to-mid-size indie label. So it is with Dinosaur Jr.
Seeing the handwriting on the wall with the decline of the major record label, Dino Jr are looking to find a sustainable existence with a label that can give them the attention that's hard to find with a major label, so they've opted to sign with Jagjaguwar.
They have a past history with indies Merge Records, Fat Possum and SST, so being a part of Jagjaguwar will be a good fit for the band.
Dinosaur Jr. are wrapping up a new album due for release later this year.
