Portland Cello Project Hits the Big Time with Kill Rock Stars

Imagine being run-over by a group of cello-wielding maniacs. It might be kinda weird, ya know? Fortunately, you can have your cello and hear it too, without being run over, because there's a band of cello-wielding manics, named Portland Cello Project.

They've just been signed to Portland's own Kill Rock Stars label, for the release of material sometime later this year. The release will feature appearances from Thao of Thao With The Get Down Stay Down and Justin Power.

Known to cover music like Salt N Pepa's Push It and 80’s hair covers alongside looming masters like Bach, as well as original material, the band has been developing a reputation as an eclectic and lively act. Their fans call them PCP.
