Pitchfork Festival Starts Naming Names, New Events

By: Spacelab Research Staff

Some of the initial names and events have been announced for this year's Pitchfork Music Festival, with the addition of Vivian Girls, The Jesus Lizard, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, and more.

They've put an end to the Friday night partnership with All Tomorrow's Parties Don't Look Back series, and replaced it with the user-generated concept of letting ticket holders vote (in advance) on what the set lists will be for the Friday night bands. They're calling it "Write the Night: Set Lists by Request." The voting will end on June 12th.

The event happens in Chicago on July 17, 18, and 19. Tickets go on sale Friday, March 13.

Check out the Festival Overview for more details.
