The band has a fascination with 60’s Motown and country folk (not that it sounds much at all like either) and the influence is subtle and filtered through their gauzy, otherworldly aesthetic. Their moods are indeed dark, but not without shimmering bits of light emerging frequently. And now, select cities in the U.S., including one in Iowa, will get to see the Beach House experience.
