Santa Monica-based KCRW will add to their already well-known station a new online channel of continuous music. Named Eclectic 24, the station will run 24 hours a day, breaking the music stream only once for All Things Considered at its normal time slot (5-7 PM PST).
No DJs, no swimming pools, no movie stars. Just a dedicated stream of all of the new music that KCRW is known for bringing to the masses.
“Music fans still want to be surprised and turned on to something completely unexpected -- that’s the beauty of radio. What’s special about this new channel is that it combines those fresh ideas with the rich history of our station in a non-stop music stream for our fans worldwide,” said Music Director Jason Bentley.
The channel launches on Labor Day, and will be located at http://www.kcrw.com/music/eclectic24.
