Sub Pop Signs Happy Birthday, a Band With No Songs

Things move fast these days ... No less than a year after they formed, Happy Birthday have signed a deal with Seattle's Sub Pop Records.

Formed by Kyle (King Tuff), Chris and Ruthie in November of last year, the band is still in the works and began recording material in March of this year. There still are no songs posted to their MySpace. Sub Pop is expecting to release their material in early spring of next year.

What does the future hold? I want to see a band signing before a band has even been formed. I see a Minority Report-type of future where bands get signed by just being premeditated!
