Add another name to the 2010 Glastonbury Festival line up: none other than Mr. Andy Williams Mr. lounge pop extraordinaire. He was at the Cheltenham Literature Festival over the weekend when he made the announcement.
More old school than old school (oos - original old school?), the 81 year old Mr. Williams said that he was invited by festival organizer Michael Eavis. His voice was once declared a national treasure by Ronald Reagan, and he should know, because Ronald Reagan is original old school too.
This will be the 40 year anniversary of the first Glastonbury experience. As a result, they'll be expanding the non-music festivities, and trying to get the best acts that they can.
2010 Glastonbury Festival sold out all of their available tickets on the first day they went on sale, selling 180,000 tickets in 12 hours. Unbelievable.
If you missed out, you still have a chance on October 12th, as they'll offer another chance to buy tickets from cancelled orders.
