Shoegazers Swervedriver are planning a set of shows before their appearance at the My Bloody Valentine-curated All Tomorrow's Parties Nightmare Before Christmas festival.

Drummer Josh Hindmarsh told NME that the band wanted to do a couple of shows because last year, there was a problem with not playing enough shows to accomodate fans.

"We played the Scala last year and it was way over-sold, with loads of people outside the venue listening through the fire doors while we were on. So we really wanted to do another couple of London gigs for anyone who missed out, or was good enough to stand on the street in King's Cross for a few hours last year!"

In other Swervedriver-related news, frontman Adam Franklin has completed a new set of music for his Bolts of Melody project and expects to release it sometime in 2010.
