Seattle-based Barsuk Records has made the official announcement of signing Pearly Gate Music, the project of Zach Tillman. Barsuk Records will release a new full-length album in 2010, and Pearly Gate Music is on tour this Fall. There's a new tour-only EP available titled Daddy Wrote You Letters...

His music combines folk sounds with a sense of almost 60's southern-California pop, which you can hear on the songs Big Escape and Daddy Wrote You Letters.

Zach's brother is Fleet Foxes drummer J.Tillman, and Zach also plays bass on J. Tillman's album Vacilando Territory Blues.
