Glastonbury Festival organizers have been saying the next year's 40 year anniversary would be huge, now they're starting to back that statement up. As a result, they'll be expanding the non-music festivities, and trying to get the best acts that they can. So far they've landed U2 as a headliner. How's that for big?

"The 26-year-old rumour has finally come true. At last, the biggest band in the world are going to play the best festival in the world! Nothing could be better for our 40th anniversary party. And there are even more surprises in the pipeline..." said festival organizer Michael Eavis.

There's also a rumor floating around that Muse is the next big act to be added to the bill.

The festival has also launched its annual unsigned band competition, also known as the Emerging Talent competition. 13 winning acts will get a spot on either the Pyramid, Other or Queen's Head Stage.
