The future of the Glastonbury Festival is looking good. Glastonbury organizers Emily And Michael Eavis have applied for the licensing to run up to 2016, according to NME.
They've applied to the Mendship District Council to extend the licensing, increase camping, and open the parking a day earlier than previous years. Maybe there's an even bigger Glastonbury in store for the future?
In other Glastonbury news, they've named the first of two winners for the emerging talent competition. My Luminaries are the first to win and as such will play a slot on the Queen's Head Stage. They'll remain in the competition and in the hunt for the larger prize of an appearance on the Pyramid or Other stage. That will be determined by a live performance competition and a public vote.
Glastonbury is set to take place June 25 - 27. Check out the Spacelab Festival Guide for more information on the Glastonbury Festival line up, tickets, and other details.
