Vampire Weekend have been added to the 2010 Glastonbury Festival.

On an appearance on the BBC 6Music's Laverneshow, the band was asked if the would be playing Glastonbury this year, and replied "Sure, yes. Call us Emily. Come on!"

It was only a matter of time before Emily made an announcement via Twitter, saying "YES, FRIDAY 25th?!"

This will be the 40 year anniversary of the first Glastonbury experience. As a result, they'll be expanding the non-music festivities, and trying to get the best acts that they can.

2010 Glastonbury Festival sold out all of their available tickets on the first day they went on sale, selling 180,000 tickets in 12 hours. Unbelievable.
