It's nice to hear that Nice Nice have a new album on the way. The experimental Portland-based duo signed on to Warp Records in 2006 and will release their first Warp full length album and tour this year.

The album, Extra Wow, is due out on April 6th and includes "everything from forward-reaching psychedelia and neo-primitive electronic experiments to dub rhythms and learned lessons from the pillars of krautrock" according to a statement from Warp.

Nice Nice is a melting pot of live processing and musical styles.

"We have listened to and played a lot of noisy/experimental music and rhythmic/tribal music and komische/motorik influenced music but, honestly, we have listened to and tried to play just about every style of music that we have come across. We are complete musical omnivores and love a really wide range of styles and sounds without shame- too much music to possibly list," said the band when speaking about their influences.

They'll release the first single from the album, "See Waves", on February 8th/9th.
