After the initial news that Lily Allen was taking a break from music, comes the reaffirmation that she's not making a new album anytime soon, citing labels woes with EMI and a lack of desire for touring.
"I’m not making another album right now, which is what people usually at this point in an album cycle would be thinking about the next record and I’m not, I’m having some time off," she said whaen speaking to BBC's 6Music while at the Brit Awards, picking up an award for British Female Solo Artist.
She's not too concerned about what happens to EMI right now, because she's focusing on other things.
"I imagine it’s quite worrying for them. I personally am leaving so I don’t really mind. I’m just not making another album for a while. I’m moving on to pastures new so record sales and stuff aren’t really bothering me right now."
Instead, she's started a recording label of her own, and they've already started working.
"I’m in my office, I’ve got people working with me and we’re making progress."
