Sonic Youth drummer Steve Shelley and Ministry/Recolting Cocks/Pigface and all around Industrial music kind of guy Chris Connely have formed anew band called The High Confessions.

They'll be joined by Jeremy Lemos and  Sanford Parker. A new album is due out on Relapse Records titled Turning Lead Into Gold With the High Confessions later this year.

This isn't the only Sonic Youth side project going on right now. Thurston and Kim are working with Yoko Ono on a new album.

So that begs the question ... where's Mr. Lee Renaldo? He's next! What are you workin' on, guy?
