The Fratellis’ Jon Lawler and singer/songwriter Lou Hickey have started a new project titled Codeine Velvet Club, and subsequently signed to Dangerbird Records for the release of their new album. Check out the flashback sound here.

Dangerbird cites their influences as "dramatic orchestral pop and dark postwar Hollywood and Las Vegas romanticism." Heady.
