Band of Horses have announced that they'll release the album Infinite Arms on May 17th/18th. Although they've previously been on Sub Pop Records, there is no mention of what label will be releasing this album.
A recent report on Billboard said that the band is currently looking for a bigger label to release the album.
Infinite Arms will be the follow up to 2007's Cease to Begin, and and the band will be announcing more tour dates as the year goes on. The album was produced by the band and Phil Ek (Built To Spill, Fleet Foxes), and is the first album to include Tyler Ramsey and Bill Reynolds who were part of the touring band in the past.
You can still catch them at South by Southwest and the Sasquatch! Music Festival.
Mat Brooke of announced that he'd be splitting off from the band back in 2006. He was a founding member, and a main songwriter. As the band started playing more live shows, his desire to be involved declined. |
