Jack White is working with Jay-Z on a new song.
"I just did a record with Jay-Z. We did a song together a few weeks ago. It was incredible. I played him something that I've been kicking around for a while and he immediately came out with words for it. It's unbelievable-sounding," said Jack White when speaking to GQ Magazine.
The two have been appreciating the other's working for some time, with Jay-Z describing White as a "renaissance man" while Jack White described Jay-Z as "just incredible."
There's no word on when the collaboration will be released, but there's been recent talk about new material coming from the White Stripes. Emmett Malloy, the director of the new White Stripes tour documentary Under Great White Northern Lights, thinks that the duo are bound to get back together for more, material.
“Jack’s done a few interviews that I’ve read and it always sounds like they are going to get back together and do something. After this tour, we all needed a break but I just can’t imagine that band not doing more records and doing more shows," he said when speaking to BBC's 6Music. |
