The desert convergence known as Coachella 2010 is now winding down (at the time of publishing) and looks to be the most economically successful Coachella yet, with three sold out days. The music? Great, from the looks of the Coachella videos available (see links below).
Coachella has emerged to be the coolest of summer music festivals in the U.S. Picking up where Lollapalooza left off, Coachella has become the stamp of approval that lets people know that any band that plays there is super-talented and worthy of your attention. It's located in sunny Indio California, so how can it be bad?
This year's show turned out to be a good one, with appearances by LCD Soundsystem, Fever Ray, Grizzly Bear, She & Him, PiL, Deadmau5 (he's everywhere), Dirty Projectors, Devo, a *reunited* Faith No More, a scorched-earth set by The Dead Weather, Gorillaz, Orbital, Spoon, Thom Yorke's new band Atoms for Peace, The Soft Pack, Yo La Tengo, and on and on and on ...
